Hello SAP community!
I have to do the following customizing point for my client: SAP Customizing Implementation Guide -> Materials Management -> Inventory Management and Physical Inventory -> Movement Types -> Record Reason for Goods Movements.
But I don't understand what the purpose of the "Reason" field is (only numbers it seems), because there is already a "Reason for Movement" field where I can define my reason with text.
I see in the standard proposition that sometimes Reason 1 corresponds to "Poor quality" (e.g., Movement 123) and other times Reason 1 corresponds to "Quality issues" (e.g., Movement 823).
Does a link between these two fields exist, and how can I decide for a new "Reason for movement type" which "Reason" I have to put?
Thanks.

While you enter Reason code , the Reason for Movement text/s will be defaulted in MIGO for that movement type and for you case reason code 1 corresponds to "Poor quality" which is already defined in standard for your movement type.
If you wanted - you too can create a new Reason code /a key number as 15 having a Reason for Movement /texts as Duplicate Entry for your movement type in the below said path.
**** Like you have plant code and plant name description - you can have Reason code and Reason code description on Reason for Movement for a movement type!
