[Question] How to Copy a Company Code in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition?

Hello,
I am using SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, and I would like to copy an existing company code to create a new one.

In the on-premise version, I found that transaction OBY2 can be used to copy a company code. However, I do not see a similar function in the Public Edition.

Questions

  1. Is there a way to copy a company code in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition?
  2. If copying is not possible, what is the most efficient method to create a new company code?
    • Setting up via Central Business Configuration (CBC)
    • Efficiently migrating relevant master data (e.g., plants, purchasing organizations)

Environment Information

  • SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition

I would appreciate any best practices or official SAP documentation on how to create or copy a company code in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

Thank you for your help!

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition, you cannot directly copy a company code like in the on-premise version (OBY2).Instead, you must create a new company code via Central Business Configuration (CBC). The key steps include:

1. Create a new company code in CBC under Organizational Structure.
2. Manually configure settings like GL accounts, tax codes, and financial parameters.
3. Use migration tools (e.g., SAP Migration Cockpit) to transfer relevant master data (plants, purchasing orgs, etc.).
