Question about profit center consolidation in Group Reporting

hi expert,

 I want to know whether cloud Group reporting could run profit center consolidation for there is no configuration for dimension(profit center) in could GR cbc. But in OP version Group reporting, there is dimension(02 profit center) configuration.

The setting mentioned is not required in Group Reporting. It is an EC-CS setting which is not applicable to Group Reporting.

The profit center consolidation scenario is handled differently in Group Reporting:

• With accounting integration
• Direct integration of accounting profit centers to Group Reporting profit centers and usage of hierarchical elimination dimensions in Group Reporting
• Direct integration of accounting segments to Group Reporting segments and usage of hierarchical elimination dimensions in Group Reporting where the segment could be derived in accounting based on the profit center. It could represent an aggregation of profit centers.
• Using the flexible Consolidation Unit derivation where the Profit Center information could be used to derive the required Consolidation Unit. This is especially useful if a full consolidation including consolidation group dependent postings should be done along a Consolidation Unit dimension which reflects Profit Center structures (e.g. groups of Profit Centers)
• Without accounting integration
• Profit Centers, Consolidation Units and Segments can be flexibly defined and derived in Group Reporting Data Collection (GRDC) mapping

Hello Florian, do wee need the 'Partner Profit center' field populate in ACDOCA to be able to have elimination at the profit center level? If so, how we can automatically populate it?

Yes, partner dimensions are a prerequisite to get meaningful elimination results, especially if customers want to have the eliminations appear on the correct hierarchy level where entity and partner meet first. If only top-side eliminations are required, customers may explore to work with a "dummy partner".

On partner profit center derivation in accounting I am not the expert. Maybe someone else could contribute?

Sorry we do not support such scenario in Cloud system.

The feature is only fine in EC-CS.
