Dear SAP gurus,
We are in SAP ECC 6. We have requirement that when we running MRP we will always generate PR with qty = 1.
We thought that we can solve this by using
MRP type = PD
Lot size = FX
Fixed lot size = 1
but apparently it is not.
The case:
We create 3 STR requesting material A to be transferred from plant X to plant Y
STR 1 --> requesting 1 pcs, required date 01.06.2015
STR 2 --> requesting 2 pcs, required date 02.06.2015
STR 3 --> requesting 3 pcs, required date 03.06.2015
In plant X, we set like above:
MRP type = PD
Lot size = FX
Fixed lot size = 1
but apparently it is not.
When we run MRP we expect to have 6 PR:
PR 1 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 01.06.2015
PR 2 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 02.06.2015
PR 3 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 02.06.2015
PR 4 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 03.06.2015
PR 5 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 03.06.2015
PR 6 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 03.06.2015
But then the actual result is this:
PR 1 --> to procure 1 pcs, available date 01.06.2015
PR 2 --> to procure 2 pcs, available date 02.06.2015
PR 3 --> to procure 3 pcs, available date 03.06.2015
So I wonder what is the difference between lot size = FX vs EX (lot for lot). Is there something that I miss in here?
Best regards,
John
