quantity and value updation for non stock material

quantity and value updation is both required for non-stock/consumable materials.my client has this requirement since he wants traceability of each material.

what if i ask him to use material type used for stock materials, only with a specific material group assigned for consumable materials?

Hi Kriti,

it can be differentiated using a new material type or by material group or by external material group. All depends on your client requirements.

Hi,

Create new material type for non stock material with quantity and value update,which will help you the client to differentiate stock material and non stock material with material number range and also you can take report based material type.
