QM Inspection lot visible in MD04 screen but stock is unrestricted in MMBE

I am currently using QM with a dynamic modification rule. Only inspection at the first goods receipt is maintained.
The flow is integrated with EWM.

When I do the goods receipt for the following PO's the stock goes to unrestricted stock but the inspection lots are still visible in md04.

Has someone seen this before? Why are the QM-Lots still visible?

Thanks in advance!

Hi Wolfgang 🙂

Please could you check if the inspection lots still require a Usage Decision?

By design Skip Lot will still create an inspection lot but the results recording will not be required. This is because in some business you may want to manually check the paperwork and perform a check within the certificate record. If everything is okay you can make a manual/automatic usage decision.

You would usually setup an automatic usage decision program (RQEVAI10) to pick up these parts. If you go into transaction QA16 - enter your test material and execute the tcode. this should make the UD for all the inspection lots which you mention above.

If this doesn't work please check inspection type 1701. Please could you confirm that the "Auto UD" checkbox is ticked within the inspection set-up on the material master. This config is derived from the following:

QCC0 -> Quality Inspection -> Inspection Lot Creation -> Define Default Values for Inspection Types

Ideally you will set up an automatic UD batch job to run with a 1 minute delay. Your goods will be receipted and create an inspection lot with the status of "SKIP" but the goods will already be in unrestricted use. Then the program will make an auto UD which will clear the inspection lot from MD04.

Let me know how you get on. However if you original goal is to only inspect the first delivery and then allow the goods straight into stock. You should investigate the use of status profiles within the Quality Info Record.

Josh
