Purpose of customer and vendor linked to storage location and requirement

Hi Im fairly new to MM world and just trying to understand the purpose of customer and vendor in table T001L and its requirement. Secondly we currently have a customer vendor already pointing to plant storage location as shown below and is representing a third party location and address

Plant     StrLoc         Vendor          Customer
ABCD    1                 123               456

If we now have another plant and storage lcoation that is representing same third party location and address can we just reuse the vendor customer as shown below?

EFGH    1                 123               456
