Purchase requisition created in discontinued material after MRP run

Hello Guru's,

I have a material which is set G3 status (Discontinued) in Material master MRP views, but still system generating the Purchase requisition and dependent requirement after MRP run.

it is a phase out code we will not produce it. 

please help me to resolve the issue.

you can try setting MRP type to ND at material master MRP 1 tab.

it is already in ND MRP type

in that case you can try deleting the purchase requisition item for the material in question and then run the MRP

I suggest do delete the PR item for this material and change message types from warnings to errors. Run MRP and see if any combination meets you requirement.

HI, i am not able to do customization because it is production server. is there any other ways to stop the automatic creation of purchase requisition after MRP run for that material?

it is possible that you defined the status after the dependant requirement was set in that case the system planned procurement for discontinued material.

Can you perhaps share a screenshot with details of G3 status customizing? 

SPRO -> Logistics - General -> Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) -> Material Master -> Settings for Key Fields -> Define Material Statuses
