Purchase order subcontracting BOM

Hi

I have created BOM in CS01 for "Plant A".

I have created Purchase order with item category "L - Subcontracting". BOM was exploded.

If I go in the Purchase order inside of components, there is a field "Plant" which is equal to "Plant A". But this field is editable and I can choose "Plant B" for the components, because I need to take it from "Plant B".

The question is - can I get "Plant B" automatically into purchase order components, despite the BOM was created for "Plant A" ?

I'm aware about Special procurement option, but maybe there is another way?

Thanks.

Hi @alex_alex85
If you want the the BOM components to be picked from Plant B > Change the BOM master record and Come to the PO in edit mode and click on 'Explode' option.
If this is for one time activity, you may directly change the plant from A to B in PO itself.
the next postings like GR considers the components from PO only, not from BOM.
Please let us know If you need any further clarification.

Hi Vijay. Right. In this case we even do not need BOM, since I can manually enter components into Purchase order. The question is - how to bring other plant into Purchase order components automatically?

Hi Alex, at BOM creation we don't have the option to enter plant details for components. By default the Header Item plant will be applicable to the components as well. It is a standard behavior. So your requirement may not possible in the standard way, you may need to approach technical team and provide the requirement.
