Hello dear user,

And thank you for asking your question in the SAP Community blog.

Yes, you can definitely change the layout of existing PO forms in SAP using Adobe LiveCycle Designer. It’s the tool SAP uses for designing form templates like POs, invoices, delivery notes, etc.

To do so, you will need :

  • Adobe LiveCycle Designer (you install this on your PC, comes from SAP)
  • Access to your SAP system - either On-Premise (via SAP GUI) or S/4HANA Cloud
  • A bit of patience - it’s powerful but not super intuitive at first 😊

If you are working on S/4HANA Cloud (Public Edition):

  1. Go to the “Maintain Form Templates” app in Fiori
  2. Search for the form: for POs, it’s usually MM_PUR_PURCHASE_ORDER
  3. Click on it  then copy it (you can’t edit the standard one directly)
  4. Download your custom version (you’ll get an file at the XDP format)
  5. Open that file in Adobe LiveCycle Designer on your PC
  6. Make changes: move stuff around, change logos, resize sections, etc
  7. Save it and upload it back into SAP
  8. Use the “Output Parameter Determination” app to assign your form to the PO output type

If you're on SAP GUI (On-Premise):

  1. Use transaction code SFP.
  2. Enter the form name, click "Layout" → that opens LiveCycle Designer.
  3. Do your editing and save it.
  4. Test it with FP_TEST_00.

Here’s things you can do on your layout :

  • Swap out the logo
  • Adjust the table that shows line items
  • Change fonts, add text, rearrange sections
  • Add custom fields (if needed – might need to expose them via CDS or context)

Regarding the tutos, you can maybe find your happiness in the SAP Help Portal or even on Youtube videos.

I hope this will help answer you with exploring the Adobe Livecycle Designer tool.

Best regards,

Jeremy
