Dear Experts,

As we know the depreciation treatment for Income tax depreciation for India is a block concept. How we can achieve this in S4 HANA Public Cloud.

The solution provided in Asset Accounting Scope ID- J62 and the process explained in help.sap.com is navigating the way to update the values manually for the block assets.

The below applications are available to update the values manually for the block assets.

· Assign Opening WDV to Blocks – Allows to enter the opening WDV.

· Update Asset Transaction Details – Allows to enter the asset transaction details.

· Adjustment to Asset Block Opening WDV/ Transactions- Allows to change the values for WDV and Transactions.

· Income Tax Depreciation Calculation Report – In this application, the values entered in the above 3 applications are being displayed.

But the requirement is, once the opening WDV is loaded the acquisitions should get added to the WDV automatically and the transfers retirements should get reduced from WDV automatically without entering the values manually.

Kindly suggest the way how this requirement can be achieved. Which depreciation key would be used for tax depreciation for WDV method from the standard delivered. As we do not have option to make any changes to the depreciation keys.
