PS validation settlement rule before release project

Hello, we are searching for a solution regarding settlement rules in PS.

We want to validate if there is maintained a settlementrule in al WBS element before the project is released.

We have S4HANA ON PREMISE 2020 02 (05/2021) FP.

Hope this can be achieved by defining a user status in status profile. You can keep this status as initial and will be cleared once settlement rule is maintained. Also set release forbidden if this status is active.
