Project Coding Mask Change

Hello dear friends,

Im Jr. PS Consultant Gizem Kaya. My question is, I have specific project encoding masks in VSD system. But I need this mask changed. When I say delete the project encoding mask, I can't delete it because there are too many projects in the VSD (dev system) system, I read that it should be archived, but I don't know how much it is possible due to the large number of projects. You can see my screenshots attached. I need my new project mask to be w3.png Please can someone with experience tell me how to proceed?

The easiest solution can be to go with a different letter (key) and blocking the old key. If this concerns just the data in the development system (and not in production system) should not be an issue.

I would say the important question here if you deal with a "green field" scenario or with a "brown field" scenario.

If you change a coding mask definition the existing projects that don't match the new mask will become unusable and it causes problems.

Clearing out the system via archiving is recommended.
