Production Versions mandatory and no migration template available?

Hi All,

Since S/4 the Production Version became mandatory in order to produce. However, there's no migration template to make an initial load?

Hi Kenny,

As Sandeep pointed out, the migration object and template should be available in the current 1808 release.

Please make sure you have active business roles available and assigned based on the following SAP template roles:

- SAP_BR_CONFIG_EXPERT_DATA_MIG (for data migration)

- SAP_BR_PRODN_ENG_DISC (for the Production Version business function)

In case your system is upgraded from previous release, you may need to compare and adjust the active roles from the SAP templates.

Not that the test script https://rapid.sap.com/bp/#/scopeitems/BH5 doesn't include the Production Version object. I'm sure it will be corrected soon.

the following migration report is available to create production versions before or after migration: CS_BOM_PRODUCTION_VERSION02

Basic principle is the selection of production-relevant currently valid BOMs and routings and creating a production version as cross-product.
