Hi Madhur,

Plz find the Mr. Vivek inputs for one of query in past

1 - confirm av.paatial qty

This indicator is useful, when you want the system to commit in proportions i.e. If the BOM contains 10 different parts with differing quantities, then system checks whether all the required qty is available, if it does then it commits, else checks for the part which has the lowest availability. It then computes the % of availability of that part & then commits only that % of parts for the entire components even if the entire qty is available. This would be useful when you dont want some parts to lie idle at production area.

2 - overall profile

This is quite straight forward i suppose, you define a profile as per your business need to perform capacity levelling if the std ones do not suit, then assign the profile here. System then carries out the scheduling as per this profile

3 - confirm capacity

When system carries out a capacity availability check, if you set this indicator then system confirms those operations for which capacity exist & for those which does not, there is no confirmation. But if you do not set this indicator, then only if capacity exists for all operations, only then a confirmation is done, else even for those operations which have capacity will not be confirmed. This indicator depends on the business process flow, some places it is OK to confirm the capacity & proceed with the operations even though the rest have to wait, but in other places it is not advisable as all operations have to be carried out in sequence. So check the business process flow

4 - finite scheduling

This indicator will inform the system to carry out a finite scheduling that is to check the loads, & thereby preventing a overload which might happen if a detailed check is not done.

5- no update gds recipt surplus

If this indicator is set only variances which are less than the planned qty will be considered in MRP, i.e. new proposals will be created for the shortage qty.

6- no update gds reciept

If this indicator is set only variances which are in excess of planned qty will be considered in MRP, i.e. the subsequent needs can be met with this excess qty. Note If 5 & 6 are ticked, then no variances will be passed onto MRP calculation.

7 - adjustment quants in order to act.vals

This indicator adjusts the planned values with the values as per the confirmation. Be careful while using this indicator, as you would be updating the order values as per your confirmation. Cant think of an example for this, but just a guess - It might be helpful in certain cases, where you might not be sure of how much finished qty you might be able to get with the given raw materials.
