Hello everyone,
My company is making the transition to S4H (rise), we are in the test phase and the following problem is occurring during ATP in production order whit subcontracting operation.
Scenario: Subcontracting phase in production. During the production process the semi-finished product is sent to the subcontractor for processing. To avoid problems with the stocks that were lost in SAP ECC we have inserted an operation that allows the semi-finished product to be put in stock (531). This is then picked up and sent to external processing.
Now we have a problem with ATP that does not confirm the quantity of the semi-finished product, preventing the release of the order.
In SAP ECC. instead the 531 (negative quantity in BOM) is seen as an entry (entry to stock) and therefore the quantity of the requirement for the same material is confirmed in the next position.
Has anything changed from this point of view? I have verified that the MRP areas have no impact.
Attached is an example and the ATP rules for open and released production order.
Thanks for the help
Best regards
Giuseppe
Request clarification before answering.
The availability overview from comp. ATP check inside CO02 (info how to get there in my first answer) would give a bit more info. Shows the actual ATP result with the req. from the current prod. order as 'simulated requirements'.
Anyway: Personally I assume it's a bug, affecting how ATP sees reservations with negative quantity ('coproducts'). I suggest to send a ticket to SAP support after searching for notes. (I didnt find a matching note in SAP Support Portal.)
