hi,

Experts

1) can any one explain the use of COMPLETION RULE field in VOV7-item category level and also let me know if we maintain any values where does it reflects.

2) give an example like In which scenario order and billing has different pricing procedure

Completion rule for quotation / contract

The rule for establishing when a quotation or contract is complete.

Use

You can, for example, specify that a quotation is complete only after its quantity has been fully referenced by subsequent documents. The system uses the completion rule to determine the status of a quotation or contract that has been referenced by other documents (by subsequent sales orders, for example).

Dependencies

If you want the system to apply the completion rule, you must first select the Update document flow field in document flow control in SD Customizing using the following menu path: Sales and Distribution --> Sales --> Maintain copy control for sales documents --> Copy control: Sales document to sales document (at item level).

2. Different Pricing

Mainly in the case of exports, this will come into picture where you create a sale order one month before and make despatch after one or two months from the date of sale order.

While order entry you will maintain one pricing. Due to some hike in the price of procuring local components, you are forced to pass on the same to the end customer. In that case, your order price and billing price would differ.

1.completion rule is used in scenario, when sales order is created with reference to quotation then we select from here that quotation is expired with first reference or fully quantity reference etc.

2.in some scenarios sales orders r created today and invoices r created after some days in that scenario pricies may be varied so inorder to rectify this at invoice also prices r redetermined.

eg: tkae gold everyday hour the price is varies so inorder to rectify this we will carry new pricing at invoice also
