Pricing probelm related to header condition type

Dear SAP Experts

I just want to know where, when and how exactly these header condition types are used? As they dont have access sequence we cant maintain condition record. but for 1 sales order we can maintain header condition type. but if there are 1000's of sales orders how to use this header condition types.

what&how exactly the flow will be for the header condition types as for other condition types which has access sequence ,like PR00, it searches for that access and then see the feilds and and tables etc but header condition types doesnt have . what for header condition type search or look for.?
