Preventive Maintenance - Time Interval vs Performance based maintenance

Hello SAP Experts,

As per my client's business requirement, plant maintenance users want to set up the maintenance planning in both ways i.e. time interval based (maintenance strategy) and performance based (Quantity based), using measuring point & measuring documents.

Now, system is creating the preventive maintenance orders using both the scenarios i.e. time interval based and also the quantity based.

But users want to restrict the other preventive maintenance order if earlier is already created means at a point of time system will generate only one maintenance order either of two PM orders.

Will this requirement be met?

Thanks and Regards,

Shripad

Hi,

I have got an idea to solve this situation, even though its not a straight forward solution.

Situation 1 - If you are using single cycle plan

Single Cycle plan - 1 Monthly

&

Performance based maintenance - 720 Hourly

You can use multiple counter maintenance plan with operation type "Or", so system will create the call whichever is earlier.

Situation 2 - If you are using strategy plan

Time based maintenance plan - 1M, 2M, & 12M

&

Performance based maintenance - 720H, 1440H & 8670H

You can create individual maintenance items with different cycle set sequence for each set of similar frequencies i.e. 1M+720H, 2M+1440H etc.

Thanks.
