PR/PO Flexible Workflow with role Assignment

Dear SAP Expert,

I have a requirement to add user's manager to the approval workflow without using the HR module (it's not included in the project).

I tried to handle the requirement using SAP Flexible workflow for PR/PO and i didn't understand how to link the role to the user manager (i'm on the Manage workflow for Purchase requisitions app)

Client doesn't have HR module activated. Do i need to have HR module activated or is there any other standard solution ?

Hi,

You don't need to activate HR module however you have an option to activate HR mini-Master data, but I would recommend create a Z table where you can maintain User ID, Positions and DOA limit. You need to work with developer and that Position can be determined by BADI (Agent Determined by BADI) based on Dollar value. 

If you are determining the workflow based on Cost centers, then you need to add Cost centers in the Z table as well.
