Hello:
We use Batch Derivation on the S/4 Manufacturing side, on our batches. This provides the FG SKU batches the SLED dates based on its Bulk SKU SLED date. However, at Process Order MIGO GR on the FG SKU, the SLED inherited, is over-written by the material master Total Shelf-life data (pls see the attached). To avoid this over-writing, we've to leave the Total Shelf-life material master Plant Data Storage view value blank. This in turn makes the material NOT relevant to Shelf-life planning on the PPDS side (this is standard SAP).
Hence, at this point, we have a conflict between 2 standard SAP functionalities that are causing serious setbacks to the business. Moreover, SAP has also disabled the CIF updates into PPDS for the Shelf-life value of a material master. i.e. we cannot leave the Material master blank for Total Shelf-life & yet have a non-zero value on the PPDS side.
