PP Variable size item data - Recording actual dimensions during order confirmation

Hi All,

I have a scenario where variable size item data differs at the time of the actual goods movement recording. In my example, i have component wire, with 1 dimension that is length.

From the  BOM, the planned length is 2000 mm length of 1 Piece of wire.  So the Planned qty is 2000mm. But during the actual data entry this could be 1010 mm length of a wire, and 2 wires of 500 mm in length. Actual consumption sums up to 2010mm.

As a workaround production order components can be updated, but i am looking for a solution or workaround to record the actuals during order confirmation. Preferably CO11N.

Hello @arjuna_bandara , As per my understanding, you are using one dimension unit of measure related component. where you are adding the wire length without any standard formula during consumption, I would recommend to use  alternative item with manual proportion with item category as "L" or you can use assembly scrap in material master if it's always need few additional consumption
