Post credit memo to transferred fixed asset

Dear Community, 

We have the following case: 

Asset under construction A:

-acquisition: 200 000€, posting date 30.09.2024, value date 30.09.2024

-transfert to fixed asset B: 200 000€, posting date 01.10.2024, value date 01.10.2024

Fixed asset B: 

-acquisition from transfer of AuC A: 200 000€, posting date 01.10.2024, value date 01.10.2024

Depreciation key is LINE.

Now we are trying to post a 100€ credit memo to Fixed asset B, on 02.10.2024. 

But the system gives error "Acquisition value will become negative". 

It seems that we can only post a Credit Memo from following month, 01.11.2024. 

Could you please explain the reason for this behavior?

I do not find a clear explanation, neither in the properties of depreciation key, nor in the documentation.

Can you please check configuration depreciation level the check box select "neg value allowed" or

At asset master and depreciation level as well and Go to Asset master/ Depreciation area/click on your depreciation area and select "neg value allowed" check box

Hi, we do not want negative value, as explained the acquisition is 200 000€ and the credit memo is -100€. It should not become negative. Thank you
