Looking for a little assistance in setting up Pool Asset Mgt. I have set the basic config, but do not see how the equipment masters are assigned to the pool. How does this data get into PAM_MERK? I created one PAM class and 3 characteristics per OSS note: 1272432. It reads
The characteristics of the class with the class type "PAM" that are defined
in the table PAMS_MERK must correspond to the following conditions:
1. Only one entry with the PAM category indicator
On the "Values" / "Other Value Check" tab, this characteristic must
have a reference to the check table PAMS_VHC.
2. Only one entry with the number of persons indicator (2
digit number)
3. Up to 12 entries with the equipment indicator (1 character)
These characteristics can only contain the value "X" or " ". They are
displayed by the system as checkboxes in the planning board. At any time,
the class can contain further characteristics that do not flow into the
planning board.

The equipments are basically assigned to the pool (FL through the normal installation process).
- You basically create a pool using transaction PAM01(Ex: Main office Functional Location as POOL1)
- You have assigned equipments to this FL through the installation process (The equipments associated to this category have screen 150 assigned to it)
- The users then reserve equipments from pool using iQS1 transaction usingr notification type ZF. They also provide settlement rule for the travel,
- Transaction PAM03 is the planning board transaction to manage the assignment of equipments to the requirement.

Thank you for your response. I created a PAM pool and assigned a functional location with 50 vheicles installed in it. I created a notification MF and assigned screens 10\TAB01, 10\TAB02, 10\TAB06, 10\TAB23. Am I suposed to add 150 to my H4 screen group for the equipment master? I do not have a 150 in the list. With the current notification set up, I do get the trip data tab and I also get an Equipment Button that links me to the classifiaction system but will not didplay the PAM Pool list of equipment.

You should be able to see this under "define view profiles for technical object".Screen 150 contains the fields for the pool object like whether the vehicle has "auto transmission", "snow tyres","Air conditioning" etc.
These fields are also available in the notification for the user to pick what type of vehicle would they require to reserve.

If you added view 150 to the equipment master, since this is a user field I assume that your programer added additional fields to this view. I still do not see how these fields show up in the notification. This is what I have done so far.
1. created a new Class under type PAM
2. Created 3 new Charactreistics
a. PAM catagory linked to table PAMS_VHC
b. Number of Persons
c. Equipment Indicator
3. Created new Notification type MF assigned TAB23 (this brings in the Trip data) No Vehicle data.
4. I used PAM02 to create a PAM Pool, linked it to my functional location.
Config:
1. I entered the Class that I created in the settings for pool asset Mgt.
2. I entered the 3 characterstics I created in the links Characteristics/Fields, one for PAM type, one for No of Persons and one for equipment. I assigned the three characterstics to the class.
3. I entered VW (Responsible Person in the objects for processing for Notification type MF.
4. I created 1 pool category.
5. I entered an activity in the rates for the define service types.6. I entered Group PAM and Name POOL in the setting for the planning board.
6. I loaded EQUNR in the field name for the planning board Variant.
What I get from this, is I can create the new notification and see the Trip info. I do not see any of the 3 characterstics I created in the notification.
When I go to the planning board PAM03, I see all the equipment assigned to the class in the uper section and the Notification blocks in the lower sections. Since Notification number and Requester are not in the selection fields for the lower sections I assume they have to be added to the function module.
What I do not see is how the three Characteristics I created are linked to an equipment.

I'm trying to utilize this functionality. There was no BC set and so all these tables are empty and I couldn't find many settings, which have to be made.
My concern areas are;
1. Settings in the display variant, which all field can be mapped from which table/structure
2. I'm able to save MF type of notification, but I'm not able to see this request on the planning board
Can anybody highlight on these settings?
Hi Friends, I am new to SAP fans, Well I am also configuring SAP Pool asset management in my org, I have configured complete scenario and its working fine, the only problem i am facing the cost calculation part for TRIP based on time and running kms when you return the vehicle back to original pool.
In service type configuration i have configured relevant activity types with rate maintained in KP26 for fleet cost center, in PAM03 on demand notification screen , when i click the button 'settle', and ask me to select the counters for time and kms based on readings , it create a Service order in back ground which has status TECO and there are no cost is posted on my service order,
Here i want help from all PAM experts, Am i missing some thing why my cost are not getting calculated and why my Notification status not updating as 'Settled' and why my service order status is TECO
Any help would really be highly appreciated
