POD flow with movement 631

Hi all,

My customer wants to use the POD process for customer consignment flow. We have set suitable item category, schedule line category and everything works until the confirmation of the POD which gives the error:

"443 M7 E Enter a delivery for special stock T". The same process works well when it comes to movement 601 however when it comes to movement 631 this error is blocking the post good issue via VLPOD.

Can someone helps us out?

Hi, you first need to, set up a schedule line category SAP standard is NU (you can copy it and create a new one) so when you post the delivery it goes into transit (indicator T movement 687) then you will need to develop a custom transaction  maybe copy of VLPOD and enhance its functionality where when the POD is done the stock goes from T (transit) back to the warehouse via one material movement and at the same time posts 631 (W - customer consignment) via second material movement. 

Maybe there is another solution but this is how we went around it.

I am not understanding how your deal with the VLPOD. I mean according to your solution you:

• Create the Sales Order with schedule line (Copy from NU that does Mov 687 and 601).
• Create the delivery and post the stock in transit with Mov 687
• With a custom transaction you reverse the Mov 687 and post the movement 631 for the Consignment.

How are you able to perform Mov 631 at that time without using the Proof of delivery process? Do you change the Schedule line as well?

Hi we are doing the proof of delivery via the custom transaction (not via VLPOD) first transit (stock indicator T) )when posting delivery via vl02n second back to stock and third at the same time with second via the custom tcode to customer consignment stock (stock indicator W)

Thanks for your reply. Actually we opened an incident to SAP which states that 687+631 is not supported since the POD concept is to confirm the change of property which is not happening in the consignment process.

We'll go with a custom solution similar to yours. How did you set the stock in transit with the custom VLPOD? Where you able to update the document flow on the delivery? It is possible to put the stock in transit directly from MIGO?

Thanks. I'll try to implement the note. However the issue is not at the cancellation step. It's more related on the first creation of the movement 631 from Special stock "T".
