PO Un Release

Hi,

I have removed the release codes from the release strategy, Previously there are 3 levels due the requirement we have removed 2 levels and kept only One level, Now when I unrelease the PO getting below error. This error is coming only for Old PO's.

No new release indicator can be determined Message ME108

Please suggest

Hi,

You must retain the release codes if you wish to cancel the releases.

I am assuming the following example.

C1 C2 C3

01 Blocked

02 X RFQ/Purchase order

03 X X Purchase Order

Is the initial release strategy with the PO has been released.

After this PO released with three codes, now you deleted one release

code.

The new release strategy might look like as below.

C1 C2

01 Blocked

02 X Purchase order.

Since the old PO's are released with 3 codes. Now you would like cancel

with release code 02 and prerequisite for this code is 03 which

is not available in your settings. So you will get the error message

ME 108 "No new release indicator can be determined".

The solution could be,

1. Please retain the old release strategy and it advisable to create

new release strategy whenever it is required.

2. please have one dummy release code which is not having any

prerequisites and cancel with that code and cancel with actuals.
