PO Print Preview with multiple messages

Hi SAP Experts,

Greetings to all...

I wish to ask following question:

In our business process we need to generate two different documents after PO is created (one for the transport agent and one for the vendor - both are print outs). I have created two output types for it and both are getting generated when i save the PO. But when I wanted to see the Print Preview of them but when I click Print Preview button in ME22N screen it shows print preview for only one output type.

So wanted to ask is there any way I can see the print preview both of the messages.

If you assign both the Output types in MN04 then when you click on Print Preview, New Screen will appear where you will need to select the Output type to see the Print Preview

I would like to thank every one for their valuable inputs. It was really a great help. The issue is resolved. The dialog box started coming after doing following settings:

SPRO >> material management >> Purchasing >> Messages >> output control >> Message Types >> Define Message Types for Purchase Order >> fine tune control >> in this screen I unchecked the "Update print dependent data" for both of the output types.

Now the pop-up is appearing with both of the output types when i click the print preview in ME22N.

Really thankful to all of the sdn folks for their kind help.

Hi Uday,

You can try the following option.

Goto the Message tab in ME22n.

Add the 2 Outputs.

Enter the Details related to the Medium, Function, Partner and so on for the outputs.

Select the Output and in the Communcation tab after entering the Printer details, Click on 'Print Immediately'

return to the previous screen and Press on tab for Further data. and select Send with Applications own transaction from the drop down menu.

Please check for the output type what medium is maintained in tcode MN04 . It should be  1 Print output. Please try this .

Hi,

A popup for selection of message output should appear if your PO has

different output types, as for example NEU and ZNEU.

No popup should appear if there exist only different versions of

the same output type, as for example NEU plus a "change" version of NEU.

kindly check the customizing described in note 941877 and the

information from note 951135.

Dear Uday

Please check if you have the output type defined in PO by clicking on messages. If both output types are defined there in PO, then whenever you click on the print perview it would give you an option of selcting the o/p type for which you want to see the preview of. Also, check if you have printer defined for the o/p type for which you dont get the print perview. Do let me know if this solves your problem.
