PM- Settlement rule of Work order

Hi ,

I'm trying to update Settlement rule of Work Order using an Update FM.

My requirement is - when WO is Released and whenever cost centre/WBS is changed in location tab, check for the actual costs posted adn update settlement rule. if costs are not posted, then Update Settlement rule with new Cost Centre / WBS element .

So in user exit EXIT_SAPLCOIH_009, im checking for costs and order system status and going ahead to write logic for updation. im using Update FM 'with Update Task' and calling BAPI_ALM_ORDER_MAINTAIN' to change the settlement rule with new cost centre/ WBS element( By fetching the s rules details from BAPI_ORDER_GET_DETAIL' and modifying the existing Settlement rule with new Cost Centre/WBS).

But still i cant see the updating happeening. as it is resulting in Dump, 'COMMIT Work' cant be used for Update FM. Although i never used commit work or bapi_commit inside my Update FM.

Can someone give me suggestions on how to proceed.
