Hi,
The settlement orders have been set to an equipment or a functional location so that when a work order is created with that reference object, the settlement rule is automatically assigned.
However, when one goes to view the Settlement order assigned from the work order screen, one will find that there are 2 settlement rules. Both rules are identical however one is in FULL and the second is in PERIODIC.
Will this affect postings? Is there any way we can limit this to one entry?
We have already limited the Settlement Order Profiles to 1, however this will not let you add any additional settlement rules should the cost of a work order have to be split between one settlement rule and another.
Kindly advice.

There is a CO config that control the auto generation of settlement rule. Look at IMG > Controlling > Internal Order > Actual Posting > Settlement > Automatic Generation of Settlement Rule.
I am still trying to figure out how this work. I still can't assign the strategy sequence to the order type. From this config path, i can only see internal order.
You may want to explorer and see if you manage. Do let me know if you success.

Thanks for your help.
However this option will not allow you to manually add an extra settlement rule, should the need arise.

Nikolai

Good Morning,
Thank-you for your reply.
Is there a way we can limit the settlement rule to always only show ONE settlement rule as FULL. Aswell as giving the user the option to manually add an extra settlement rule.
As it stands, users using transaction KOSRLIST_OR to display a list of work orders and settlement rules would see a work order with more than one settlement rule.
Kindly adivce,
Regards,
Nikolai

Hello,
Have look below things which will help you to understand the Work Order Settlement Rule Full and Periodic
PER Settelment is used at the end of Month,Quarter or Half Yearly or Yearly as per buisness requirement.
PER Settelment means -->This settlement type settles costs by period. Therefore, the system only settles the costs for the settlement period.that means in TC KO88 You mention the settlement PeriodFor distribution rules (part of the settlement rule for the sender)With settlement type PER, the costs/revenues for the settlement period
FUL (full settlement):
You can use this settlement type in automatic settlements.
The difference to periodic settlement is that in full settlement you settle each time all the costs that have occurred for a sender object for all the periods prior to the settlement (and are not yet settled). If PER rules exist, they take precedence over the FUL rule.
Quantities from internal activity allocations are not sent to the receiver. This means that there is no guarantee that actual activity prices, elimination of internal business volume, and variance calculation will take place correctly. For this reason, we do not recommend that you use FUL for cost centers or business processes.

Rakesh
