plant determination at PO level.

Hi All,

When we create a PO for a particular material, the plant should be automatcally populated in the PO.

How can we configure this and please tell me the configuration path.

Hi John,

If material is maintained ofr diff. plant then you have enter plant manually in PO, In Std SAP provision is not available for plant determination auto.

if you have only one plant and mat. is maintained for the same then using default setting you can propose the default plant in PO.

default setting for plant

1. go to ME21N

2. here at right top u will get icon for personal settings, click on it

3. go to default value tab, then go to PO item tab and here enter the default plant u need and save

As one material can be purchased from many plants so system cannot know which plant you are going to purchase but you can give in personal settings

You can matain plain as default in personal setting.
