Hi Experts,
I am trying to create a PIR type that is consumed by all demand elements (The PIR is to be loaded out of IBP). I reviewed SAP notes 772856 and 772857 and created a new requirements class with a planning indicator of 1, a consumption indicator of 3 and a requirements category of 1. I created a new requirements type tied to the class. In addition I set the material master mixed MRP flag to 1. I have consumption mode set to backwards then forwards (with values set for period). The new requirements type consumes correctly with STO, production and sales order demand all consuming the PIR, however if I were to issue to production demand via a 261 movement, the PIR is not reduced. I have tried with a Strategy group of 11, 40, 70 and 74 (in MRP 3 on material master) none work. I also added my new requirements class to OMP4 and flagged History. The movement type 261 is flagged for independent requirement reduction in OMJJ. I would want dispatching to an STO or sales order also to reduce the PIR if possible, but I am currently testing with issue to a process order.
Any ideas as to what I am missing or doing wrong? Am I asking for the impossible? The scenario is that we define a schedule in IBP and pass to SAP and use it to plan against, however if real demand exceeds the PIRs then we will increase the plan.
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks,
Jez
