Hi friends

plz help me to configure the PINCH feature

we have 3 Personnel areas at my client and we have about 7 payroll, time and personnel admins

i want to default the admins PA wise and that to be updated in IT 0001.

i have defined admins in t526 table, i hav strucked in PINCH feature tree.

how could i give my 3 PAs and what should be the return values <removed by Moderator>

Hi,

In IT0001 system is defaulting "Personnel area" value as Administrator Default group for Germany. I am not sure how this is happening . Is this Some thin standard if a personnel area have more than one personnel sub areas , will system default The PA value as default admin group in IT0001 until we provide PSA value in IT0001.?

The moment I entered the value for PSA In IT0001 and click the enter ,it is defaulting the correct Admin group value based pinch feature configuration . Actually this Germany country and and the configuration have been done in PINCH like following.

Personnel subarea -> Company code-> Admin group.

Can anyone explain me how this is working.

Hi lakshmi,

Going throug your threat one thing i understood is, you did not get a correct solution to default the administrators in the fields instead entering them manually.

I had the same problem, but using dynamic actions my problem was solved.There is no ABAP code nothing is required, simple few lines of Dynamic Actions thats it.

its very easy, i can help you out with dynamic actions if i know which adminstrators to be defaluted w.r.t Personnel Areas.

Coming to Supervisor field, it is to store the PERNR of the supervisor, this field is very useful for dynamic actions based on the requirement (mainly used to send automatic mails to supervisor regarding the subordinator)

So pls let me know the list of Administrators and Personnel Areas, so that i can send u the screen shots of the Dyanmic Actions to configure to ur mail id.

Hi Lakshmi

We can define many administrator under one group.

Lets take 1234 is group and under this group there are four administrator AB, CD, EF and GH.

5678 is group and under this group there are three adminitrator IJ, KL and MN.

Lets take you have 2 personnel area (1000-Bangalore, 2000-Hyderabad) and you want to default the administrators,

1234 for PA 1000 and 5678 for PA 2000.

Access PE03, select personnel area Bangalore-1000 and assign a return value 1234 for this. So all the administrator who are falling under 1234 will be defaulted to PA 1000. Do it in the same way for the other personnel area.

ur right and i did that already. as per ur example i want to default the AB,CD,EF and GH also for the same 1234 admin group.

Hi Lakshmi,

There are 2 terms named Administrator group & administrator. Under one administrator group you can have many administrator.

PINCH feature is used to default administrator group but not administrator.

1. Define Feature PINCH via PE03. Exa:- you have 3 PA named X, Y & Z.

2. Then in T526 table under each administrator group, define administrator.

3. Ig you want to make administrator to be defaulted in IT0001, then you can set through dynamic action by putting condition like if PA is so and so, then administrator should be ...

If you are not able to do, give full information. I will try to give dynamci action set up details.

Have u activate the feature

activate and start hiring

As per your need

u have to configure via personal sub area wise and give the details hence u r having

7 payroll administators

PSA wise u can group them in pinch

if not worked using f4 u can pull the administator defined in pinch in infotype 1

i have done all, its coming fine.

As purnima said i could able to default admin group only in PINCH, but not administrators( even there is no option to default it there)

so if u know any thing about default paroll, time and PA admins as per Personnel area wise plz let me know

i have 3 PAs - MSFO,MSHO and MSDC

and 7 admins diff names

say 001, 002,003 for one PA and 004,005,006 for 2nd PA, 007,008,009 for another PA - i will edit the names

now i want these admin names to come in IT 0001 along with the group. - group is already coming fine, but in admin field i am able to see the names, i wanted to default them PA wise

hope its clear, anything else do i need to provide

Hi Lakshmi,

This is wat i have understood from yr point...

U mean to say that u are able to get the admn. group defaulted in IT0001...

and u want the names of the administrators to reflect in the PersAdmin. field...

For this go to SPRO --> PM --> PA --> Org data --> Org assignment --> define administrator....

U have to list the names of the administrator in yr admin group...

and then back to IT0001.. u have to just enter the names from F4 key..

u r right, but i dont want to use the F4 key - this also to be defaulted. can we do this??

coz all the admins are same for that particular PA.

Then cool, maintain the name in the img setting as i had given u..

It will get defaulted automatically....

But make sure there are no other names already assigned for that particular admn group... else u have to select thro F4 option...

Hi Lakshmi,

As mentioned by you administrator grouping is coming fine.

Then only problem with adminstrator.

In your response, administrator 001, 002, 003 is applicable for PA MSFO. Then which admin you need to make default? Then how system will understand to make it default?

Better ask your abaper to write a function module to achieve this requirement.

Since group can consist of many administrator and in IT0001 there is only one field so how can you default all the administrator who belong to one group.

Group will be defaulted and administrator you have to select from F4.

I think if you want to default the administrator then you should write dynamic action.
