Physical Inventory Counting and difference

Dear All,

Please clear my doubts on Physical Inventory from MM perspective , needed for my client.

1) To adjust the stock , all the materials in the plant should be uploaded with physical inventory document or only those whose difference is seen only those materials should be uploaded

2) If a material is seen physically for whose material code is not there or batch is also not there or either or is not there. What needs to be done in that case. How do we track this ? where a new material code or a new batch is created.

3) If a material is found in one location in system and it is lying physically in other location , what needs to be done in that case.

1. Yes, to adjust stock you need to do physical inventory. You know your book inventory which are in your system and fix a timeline for counting after physical inventory created -once counting done you can enter counts reslt and post the physical inventory document.

2. No sign/question on If?

If material code not there- why to opt for physical inventory process?

Why new material code needed for physical inventory process?

3. This is your business decision which plant physical inventory process need to be carried and a timeline. Not sure why counting will miss in plant-Your team to ensure all counting done at plant level and then enter those counts result to your system.

Are you planning for plantwise or locationwise but why locationwise?
