We would like to group Purchase Reqs by Production Order so that we create a one to one relationship between Purchase Order & Production Order.
Generally we convert Purchase Reqs to Purchase Orders using ME21N. If we run MRP lot for lot is there any way to peg to Production Order to the PO such that you could see the origin of a Purchase Req in ME21N?
Failing that, can anyone think of another way to peg Purchase Reqs to Production Orders such that a buyer could convert Purchase Reqs to Purchase Orders maintaining a one to one relationship between Purchase Orders and Production Order?
Request clarification before answering.
Thanks fesalbod . We do want to peg the purchase order of the components to the production order number. The solution you describe seems manual (which is something I was hoping to avoid) but I think we could ask IT to write a programme to automate it. I will look into this.
