PCE Brownfield migration procedure.

I already looked into the document 'Partner Led Migrations - ECS supported Migration approaches' 

So I do understand that migration server will be provided for upload the migration data. 

But i have three question for this migration server. 

1. Is this migration server free of charge or occur extra charge?

2. Is this migration server provided with certain version of OS? Or is it just empty server so partner should build from installing the OS?

3. is it possible that we just upload the HANA DB Data backup for system copy instead of installing the whole SAP system on the migration server? Or is it necessary run SWPM on migration server with the backup from original server?

Hi,

1. The Migration Server is part of RISE PCE, to be used for the duration of the migration project.
2. The Migration Server is an unmanaged Linux IaaS server.
3. Follow the Partner Led Migrations - ECS supported Migration approaches document you have referenced, for your chosen approach. Using export/import, SUM DMO with system move, backup/restore. Consider running SWPM on the migration server with the HANA backup.

for 1. the mean that Migration Server is part of RISE PCE, is that the migration server is part of the RISE PCE license?

For 1, part of the package for a brownfield project, not on the BoM, not charged separately for the standard timelines, but provided and available for you to use. - 1 VM for 12 months (default) or - 2 VMs for 6 months.
