Partial Quantity Billing for Billing Plans

Hello,

We have one business Requirement as explained below

For example ,

A Sales Order will be created for a quantity of 10, including a billing plan. The billing plan consists of two components: the first is a 10% down payment, and the second is the final (closing) invoice. For the first billing plan, a down payment request will be generated for the full quantity of 10. Once the down payment request is cleared, delivery will take place. During this delivery, we delivered a quantity of 8 to the customer. According to the standard configuration, the system defaults to copying the full quantity of 10 when generating the invoice. However, we require the invoice to be created for the delivered quantity of 8 instead

I understand that this may not be possible in the standard configuration, but I would greatly appreciate it if anyone knows of an alternative solution.

Best Regards

Hello,

You can try the following:

1. **Use Delivery-Related Billing**: Ensure that the item category in your sales order is set up for delivery-related billing. This will allow the invoice to reference the delivery document, which reflects the actual delivered quantity.

2. **Change the Quantity in the Billing Due List**:
- Access the `Create Billing Documents` app.
- During the invoice creation process, from the billing due list, you can manually adjust the quantity to match the delivered quantity (in this case, 8).
- Select the delivery document corresponding to the actual delivered quantity.

3. **Ensure Billing Plan Adjustments**:
- If your billing plan defaults to the entire sales order quantity, ensure the plan can accommodate changes. This involves checking the configuration of your billing plan to see if it allows for quantity adjustments.
- Often, customizing is required at the item category level to allow changes to be reflected in billing documents.
