Packaging material items created although TVTY-KZPGN initial

Dear community,

I am facing the following issue: We are generating packaging material items from handling units in outbound deliveries. For some packaging materials, we don't want to generate items. Hence, we are using packaging material types where we leave the field TVTY-KZPGN blank. As far as I understand the documentation for this field, no items should be generated if it is blank. However, the system still creates those items.

Any experience with this? Any solution proposals?
