We have an urgent requirement where our executives need to be paid for Restricted Stock (RSU) payments via Off Cycle payroll. These offcycle payments taxation need to be split between two or three states based on the states these employees worked in the past 3 years. For example, we need to pay an employee with 100,000 with IL as Work tax area and 200,000 with MI work tax. This employee worked in IL in past and now in MI.
In another case an employee need to be paid 150,000 in IL and 200,000 in FL. This employee worked in IL in past and now in FL.
How can we Override State Tax for an Off cycle payment with out impacting the Regular payrolls proceessed during that period. We did an IT 208 record for one day, but that is impacting regular payroll also for one day during that 15 day semimonthly pay period.
Appreciate your expert help.
Thank you
