Override first date for individual items in a sales order

Hi, 

How do you change the first date in a sales order. I did select the individual item and then Edit --> Fast change of --> Delivery date.  But that changed the Req. delivery date

I found the answer. On the Sales Tab, you have to insert "Order Reason" as "Customer Request Date"

Hope this helps anyone else stuck with same issue.

What you suggested is not standard but a customized validation.
