Over stock coverage PP/DS Optimizer behaviour

Hi,

I've noticed that the optimizer run sends the poduction orders with MD04 exception message 20 to the end of the PP/DS planning horizon (999 days).

Is this an optimizer run normal behaviour?

Is there any report to analyze this orders?

Hi Oscar,

The PPDS optimizer works mainly on pegging. The exception message 20 (cancel process) ideally means that this production orders is not required any more and generally are not pegged to any demand element. Due to this reason it pushes these orders to back of the schedule as there is no requirement associated with this.

Thanks for your answer. In our case, the system do not push it to the back of the schedule but to the the day after the end of the PP/DS planning schedule.

I could understand the behaviour you comment instead the behaviour it runs actualy in our system.
