Order Standard Costs Based on Material Cannot be Calculated

Hi,

In attempting to complete the Create Production Order step of the Production Planning process, I encounter an error message that says "Error calculating costs, see log". When I check the log, it reads "Order standard costs based on material cannot be calculated". I have standard values for labor entered into each step of the routing.

When I create a material cost estimate with quantity structure through CK11N, all raw materials are costed but the labor activity is not.

Is there something that I'm missing in the creation of the BOM, Routing, or Material Master that could be causing this issue? Could it be something else in the Work Center or Cost Center?

Please check the "Start" date and "End" date of the order. If the the standard cost is not released within this date, the message "Order Standard costs based on material XXXX cannot be calculated." will come.

For example if the cost is released from 04.04.2024 to 30.04.2024

and the order start date is 30.05.2024-  The message will pop up.

Hi Adam,

Following things need to be check

1) Cost indicator in control key of each operation in routing(It should be selected)

2) Activity rate should be maintained for activity type assign to workcenter(It should be maintained in KP26 for that period with respect to cost center)

3) Costing relevancy indicator in operation details screen of routing for each operation(It should be "X")

in the material master costing 2 view of the FG, in standard cost estimate section do you have price for current period?

Hi Adam,

Check Control key assigned in routing it should have cost ticked in OPJ8

1. Please check is the Price maintained in material master Accounting 1 view

2. in costing 2 tabs make sure below 2 indicators are maintained

3. in BOM & Routing indicator for Cost relevant is maintained or not

Hi Ruthvik,

I've gone through and made sure that all above are maintained and am still encountering the same error. The BOM consists of 4 Raw Materials and 1 Semi-Finished good. The above conditions are also maintained in the material masters of the raw materials/semi-finished good. Could I be missing information somewhere else?
