Thanks and Regards,

Hi Icca,

Demo company has little transactions need to be put in. It will be unnecessary to show many cost center. Beside, there are not too many identical cost centers for most company.

Talk to your accounting department or the boss to find out the need.

Thanks,

Gordon

You need to generate report on your database. Not demo database.

  • Define Cost Centers: Cost centers represent specific business areas, departments, or functions. You can define them in the system by navigating to Financials > Cost Accounting > Cost Centers.

  • Assign Dimensions: SAP B1 allows you to use dimensions to group cost centers. For example, you can create dimensions like "Department," "Region," or "Project" and assign cost centers under these categories.

  • Set Distribution Rules: Distribution rules help allocate costs and revenues to the appropriate cost centers. You can configure these rules in Financials > Cost Accounting > Distribution Rules.

  • Enable Cost Accounting: Go to Administration > System Initialization > General Settings > Cost Accounting to enable cost accounting and configure settings like dimensions and distribution rules.

  • Assign to Transactions: Once set up, you can assign cost centers to transactions (e.g., invoices, journal entries) to track costs and revenues accurately.
