Number range getting skipped while creating Business Partner

While creating master data for Business Partner, the number range is getting skipped.

Standard system behaviour as main memory buffering is active for the business partner number range object BU_PARTNER (No. of Numbers in Buffer 10). There is no configuration available to change or disable the buffer.
