Currently when some one logs time under a time code in timesheet and then moves on to another project/role, we are unable to disable their access to the first code as they have already logged time there.
The only way the access to the first code can be removed is if we block/end that work package. However as there are other people using that code we can’t do this.
Sometimes this leads to incorrect time entries or some people just has a lot of codes in their timesheet which they don’t need to use anymore.
There is a functionality in S/4 to make the work item inactive. Once this is done a message is displayed that the work item is inactive and no more time can be booked using that work item. Example below.
However this does not work as the person can still view the code in their timesheet and continue logging time using the code.
Could any one please check why this functionality is not working and if this can be fixed. With projects of significant duration we are getting more issues with use of incorrect codes and many unnecessary codes showing up in people's timesheets.
