Not able to change company code of the employee via import employee app

Hello,

Can we able to change the company code of the employee via import employee via in Q system.

if so, could you provide us the steps to do.

As we tried to change, by entering the required company code in upload template how ever system prompted error "company code cannot be changed"

The import employee app does not support company code changes.

Hi mallanagouda ,

If you are creating employees solely in S/4HANA Cloud using the import employee app the answer would be no as indicated in the note mentioned earlier simply because the system is not intended to be used as a HCM system. That said, company code changes are supported for integrations with HR systems like SuccessFactors.

In your case if you are solely using the import employee app in S/4HANA Cloud then the workaround to change the company code could be to terminate the employment record for the old company and create a new employment record for the new company code.
