No error message is when Product type group in Purchase requisition differs from purchase contract

I have created Purchase contract with Product type group 1. And successfully created PR with reference to contract but with Product type group 2. System does not prompt any error message. Error message prompted during PO creation.

We have the same problem (just the Product Type Groups are opposite. In PurchContract 2 and in PR 1).

Got an error while trying to create PO:
Product type group of item 00010 deviates from purchase requisition 100XXXXX-00010.
Message No. MMPUR_SPROC024

And unfortunately, the Product Type Group was not editable in PurchContract, so we had to delete this line item and create a new one.

We are facing the similar error but the difference is, when we adopt PR line items having product type 2 that don't have material code (with short text only) in the contract, system doesn't adopt the same product type instead, it brings product type 1. After we save it the product type field is not editable, can someone give the solution that how to make that field editable

We have checked the screen layout AKTH (Create) and AKTV (change) and in both of them the product type field is marked as optional entry but still it is not allowing to edit the field in change mode of the contract
