No data entry profile could be determined for CATS

Hello All, 

I am not using CATS, and has no intention as well. In this project we dont have plan to implement CATS and HR module in S4hana as customer is using other system for time card and HR things. 

While creating service Confirmation from a Service Order, I am getting error as "No data entry profile could be determined for CATS". How to resolve this.

Hello Bidhu,

you must "play" with material master data and item category types.

1) SERVICES must be normal materials created with material type DIEN, not SERV.

2) this kind of service must have a real price list, as normal materials are, in VK11,  12, 13. Maybe you can use HR as unit of measure, but I am not sure. Do a try also with unit of measure EA (pieces)

3) for service confirmation you must be sure that ALSO in service order the item category for SERVICE is a normal SALES ITEM without any impact on ATP and/or goods movement, because you must confirm  sales of a service WITHOUT ANY LINK OR IMPACT to HR module. You sell in pieces the working time of your technician, you do not post fees for his working time, like HR CATS does.
