No Available Stock error in Batch Split (VL02N)

Hi All,

We have a curious problem with batch determination in outbound deliveries (VL02N).

We have batch determination configured on the outbound delivery, when creating a delivery and reviewing batch determination, an available batch is not selected. Reviewing the Log, I can see that the appropriate lot was found, but it indicates the error "No stock available."

However, in transaction MMBE we have sufficient unrestricted stock available to supply the outbound delivery.

In MD04 transaction we only have he demand generated by the outbound delivery in the affected warehouse.

Hi,

check SAP Notes 1513607

Please pay special attention to point 4, which often leads to confusing ATP results

Please check the best before date of the batch and see if there are any batch determination rules that consider the best before date (like minimum 30 days until best before date is reached in the search criteria).

Hello @ArnoBrouwer

Best before date is not a problem here. Look at the screenshot attached to the original question - it says that selection is executed without selection criteria. The batch is selected but it doesn't have enough available stock. Actually it is not a real problem, it is just a regular business situation. There is not enough stock to cover the delivery.

The problem is that OP is not able to analyze stock availability.

Best regards

Hello @jlopez2023

You must not check stock ATP availability in MMBE or MD04. CO09 is the right tool.

Hello @jlopez2023

Make sure to run CO09 with the correct checking rule, which is B for deliveries. Verify that there is enough stock available on all the levels, i.e.

  • plant level
  • storage location level
  • batch level

Consult the note 1893237 - Everything about transaction Co09

Best regards
