New to Solution Sales Configuration (SSC). What Should I Know?

Hi all and Thank you in advance.

I've been doing VC for about 4-5 years now, and am soon going to be helping create/maintain models within SSC. Is there anything I should learn/look into before I start? I'm assuming some Java Programming might help?

There is a good amount of LO-VC information out on the net, less AVC, and little to no SSC. I wish SAP would do more to provide a SSC help/wiki/training.

Hello, 
You can visit the standard help guide available publicly on help.sap.com for Solution Sales Configuration.
The various sections of SSC are described there in great detail such as Solution Modelling Environment, Solution Configuration Environment, etc. 
SSC uses the SME Modelling technique which works on Eclipse-based platform to design the advanced solution models. So, you might start with the SME process to begin with. Basic OOPs knowledge might be helpful in order to understand SME.
