New inspection lot created from external ewm

Dear gurus,

1st gr from external ewm will create inspection lot. Then we do some STO activity and then ewm will do another gr then it will create another inspection lot with insp lot origin 17 and insp type 01, which is we dont want this new insp lot. May i know, how to solve this issue?

I'm afraid your question is not exactly clear, but I'll do my best to help you.

If I understood correctly, you are posting multiple goods receipts for the same PO and multiple inspection lots are being created.

If this is your problem, it will depend on how EWM is set up in your system. For a de-centralized EWM or earlier releases, you have a master data called inspection rule. Here, you will find a field called Insp. Creation Ctrl, where you can define when a new inspection lot should be created. If you are using embedded EWM and one of the latest S/4HANA releases, then you no longer need to use an inspection rule and you can define in the inspection type assigned to the material master when a new inspection lot should be generated, using the Inspection Lot Summary.

Hi Caetano,

It is a different PO. The first one is normal PO and the second one is STO with the same material and same batch. In normal PO we do gr in ewm and then inspection lot created in sap erp. Then with the same batch we do STO PO and GR in ewm. But it will create another inspection lot with the same batch and material which is we not require that. May i know how to control inspection lot from created for the second time with the same batch and material? Which indicator need to to select in Inspection Lot Summary?

we are having same issue where inspection lot is getting created with STO when Posted Goods receipt as already the batch was inspected and passed
